Not That Kind of Show Tunes
NTKST is "The part of Movies you don't need your eyes for." Host Brian Thomas brings an earful of Hollywood to the Blue Ox airways, playing selections from film scores and soundtracks, both Classic and Contemporary, spiced with scenes and sound bites from the films the music comes from, along with stories, bios and other interesting tidbits about the personalities behind it all. And it's not just movies, Brian throws music from Television and even Video Games into the mix.
In fact your host promises to keep it interesting and always a little unexpected. Dont be afraid to call or email; Brian's got a massive music collection, and he's been known to structure not just parts of, but whole shows around a request or suggestion. And for the record: despite the show's title... Brians got nothing against musicals, he just happens to dig film. A lot.

Brian Thomas came to Humboldt after 20 years in the Film and Television industry, bringing with him a wealth of stories and experiences - not to mention a massive personal library of music and films (Big shock, most of it is film music). He even did a stint here in Humboldt as Film Commissioner and remains active in the Humboldt production arena.
Brian's been on air hosting for Blue Ox since 2006, and in addition to his regular show and can be found heading up live broadcasts on special occasions and holidays. While he still gets called away for business down Hollywood way, Brian can usually be found live behind the mic every Wed. night from 7 to 9 pm.
